Big Crowd of 16,000 and great weather.

Also check out UMass Band Day. Sixty plus high school and middle school bands joined the Minutemen Marching Band for a wild halftime presentation.

Sixty-plus bands? No wonder you had such a loud crowd. All the kids and the parents aided the numbers. :D

The band kids are cute. They really enjoy it. The UMass band always gets into it too. :)

To me it's always amazin' that after one morning of practice they can get 2,500 band members to play together.

No. Officially we had 16,100 (counting the bands). Eighth largest crowd in McGuirk history. I think we had more people milling around so I think we had 17,000 or more on the grounds.

If you saw empty seats it is because the band kids spend a lot of time lining up for the half and getting back and are not in their seats. The stadium was about full.

furman - About 8,000 stayed for the UMass band's post-game concert. There are 370 folks in the band.
