UNI is DEFINITELY not winning over any fans this year with action of that player or the attitude of their fanbase. IMHO there will be ALOT of fans rooting against the Panther program all the way this season.

The turnovers were the killer. We actually outgained UNI 484 yds to 362. Despite four turnovers, we still only came six yards from pulling out the win. The DOME jinx continues.

No question you got some underneath stuff with Turner in the passing game, but SIU was held to something like 60 yards rushing. Good coaching by SIU and communication between Hill and Turner to find open space underneath.

You held us to 70 yards rushing which is not a normal output for us, but we don't usually throw 45 passes in a game either. We never got the running game untracked.

My bad on the total. Regardless, being at the game, SIU virtually had to abandon the ground game...Not so much because they were out of the game score-wise and needed but catch up, but rather because our d-line was flying to the ball.

I like Nick; he's a gamer, and simply made a couple of ill-advised throws. There was a lot of pressure on him to produce with the ground game ground to a halt. (pardon the pun)

As a fan of UNI were the td that was called back have happened to us, I would've been outraged. Honestly, I thought perhaps the whistle had blown and would've been an acceptable explanation. However, sounds like that was not the case. It was so loud in there on that play it was hard to know what really went down!

On the post game radio show, the UNI player interviewed stated that Hill was "locking on" to his receivers so he was easy to read.

I think Hill is good, but Sambursky had more game "saviness".

Maybe we should focus all our energy on Il St losing every game since their "fans" (i.e. one fan) is a baby.

I had some lame experiences in Normal, but also met some real nice folks.

Man up and stop the whining.

I had to deal with some UNI fan behind me all game who kept spouting off stupid stuff like:

"Sanders is a moron"
"Why can't they stop them?" (after a 2 yard SIU run)
"Sanders totally screwed that up. That was supposed to be an option" (after Sanders kept it, as was his option)

I've also dealt with plenty at UNH, at YSU, at Il St, at WIU and at Chatty vs ASU.

UNI escaped with a win.

The coaching staff from both sides made mistakes. SIU went for it twice on 4th down. UNI played conservative with the lead and pulled a 3 and out twice in the final minutes, couldn't even count how many ticks were left on the clock... horrible clock management.

SIU was 4 yards short of winning the game, largely due to UNI celebrating before the game was over and a runner streaking down field. Too close for comfort.
