All eight SLC teams are in action in week #1.
Two of the SLC teams, Lamar and Texas A&M-Commerce kick off on Thursday, September 1, while the others play ball on Saturday, September 3. Happy Labor Day weekend! For the most part, these are challenging games, except perhaps for the Commerce game.

I went 6-2. HBU surprised me as I watched much of that game. And I thought Southern Ill. was better than what they showed.

A few people picked HBU to win on the road. I don't know if that was confidence in HBU or that Northern Colorado might not be good.

Southern Illinois got in a big hole to start the game, and then there was a lightning delay and then issues with the stadium lights. I wonder if this might have affected the Salukis. UIW and its new QB Scott had some big plays for lots of yardage.
