A blowout wouldn't surprise me. Dallas is way overrated. If Romo throws 5 interceptions like last week, the Pats will score 41 easily.

The Sports Guy

Patriots (-5.5) over COWBOYS

For three reasons ...

1. The Pats are 5-0 against the league, 5-0 against the spread. Isn't Rule No. 1 of gambling to keep riding the hot team until it loses?

2. Tony Romo has started 16 games in the NFL. He looked great in five of them, good in three of them, mediocre in four of them, lousy in three of them and abysmal in two of them. Should I trust Romo in a gigantic game ... or should I trust Tom Brady, who has a 127.2 QB rating and three Super Bowl rings? You tell me.

3. When Dallas finally won Monday night's game, they showed Wade Phillips jumping around and the Sports Gal (reading a magazine) looked up, started giggling and asked, "Who's that guy?" When I responded that it was Dallas' coach, she laughed again and said, "That's their coach??? Really? It looks like he should be sitting at a sports bar stuffing his face with chicken wings." I'm supposed to take him against Belichick? Come on.

New England wins this game, Dallas has no one who can matchup with the Pats recievers.

I hate Bill Simmons and his reasoning, he's dumb. Also the Madden Simulation is the dumbest thing, one week they had Brady throwing 4 interceptions in a loss to the Chargers, or some weird ***** like that. I think the Pats will win, but want the 'Boys to.

Do they do all the NFL games with the Sim? Plus who would want that job? It's not like they have two guys actually play, they make them watch a simulation xlolx

Simmons will never pick against the Pats, no matter what. And there's nothing wrong with that, he is a fan of the team. Just know that's what you're getting yourself into when you see his picks.

If he picked Dallas, now that would be news, but he won't, so it's not xtwocentsx

By the way, does anyone else who reads the columns think his wife sounds exactly like him?

I wouldn't pick against the Pats either. Not just because I'm a Pats fan, but because they are the best team in football.

And Bill Simmons is great if you don't take him seriously as an actual journalist.

Dallas isn't the team that will beat the Pats. They still get Indianapolis and Pittsburgh this year to play.

Pittsburgh beating NE? Yeah right. At this point, I confidently expect this team to be 15-1 at worst. I can see them losing to Indy, definitely. Never confident against them. But this team this year is so good that, barring INJURIES, I'm not worried about anyone else.

Which is not to say that they won't have any bad games. Especially against NYJ or Miami.

Call it east coast bias if you want, but I've seen Dallas several times this year. They are not as good as the Patriots. No love lost for New England either, I'm calling it like I see it. It won't be a blowout of the 38-14 variety (or whatever the Pats were winning by in the first weeks), but Dallas isn't going to be able to keep up. xtwocentsx

If New England is the best team in the NFL and Dallas isn't on their level, what's to be embarrassed about if the Boys lose? xconfusedx Either way I'll be right here. I'm sure most people didn't give Dallas a chance against a 9-0 Colts team last year. I'm sure you Pats fans remember that team. xlolx

His complertion percentage wasnt all that impressive. And total TD passes dont make a game your career best game. Your just trying to pass it off as the Cowboys lost cause Brady had the best game of his career. The Cowboys lost cause on any day this season the Patriots are the better team.

A quick look of Bradys career game logs and I found 4 gamesa I would consider better then today

Week 1 at Jets 22-28 3 TD
Week 3 vs Bills 23-29 4 TD
Oct 21, 2001 at Colts 16-20 3 TD
Nov 3, 2002 at Bills 22-26 3 TD

He had no interceptions or fumbles in those games unlike today and his completion percentage was 79,79,80 and 85 respectively in those contests compared to 67 today.

Another solid win for New England, and now we can pretty much assume a matchup of undefeateds in week 9. The Pats offense was tremendous as ever, though the defense was nothing to write home about.

Brady continues his record-setting pace and now has 21 TD/2 INT (yes, 21/2) to go along with 1,771 passing yards. Insane. Watch out, Peyton!

Just another tidbit, the Patriots are the only team with more then a 1.5 game lead (Currently 4.5 over Buffalo who had a bye and 5 over the Jets) They realistically could clinch the east by the time they finish the Colts game. The AFC East is that pathetic outside of Foxborough.

You don't think Reggie Wayne is a very good receiver? He's a different guy than Stallworth, but I would not say Stallworth is better than Wayne by any means? Welker may be a bit better than Stokley was, but they're comparable types. And Dallas Clark is great.

I think the two teams' receiving corps are now as even as they will ever be. Finally we can see who is truly better. I don't know, it's a tough decision. They're both great. We're all lucky to be witnessing these two during the primes of their careers.

Oh, and how about the O-Line this year? He's had all the time in the world!
