The Horizon only has Butler and the eight stepsisters (including YSUxthumbsupx ).

Missouri Valley is overflowing with teams that can beat anyone at any given time.

Southern Illinois, Creighton, Wichita State, Missouri State, Northern Iowa.... needless to say the MVC has proven its pedigree and no other mid-major conference has done that.

In addition to Butler, the Horizon also has Cleveland State (beat Indiana in 1986), Loyola Chicago (won NCAA tourney in 1963), Valparaiso (made sweet 16 in 1998), Wisconsin-Milwaukee (several tournament appearances under Bruce Pearl), and Wright State (in tourney last year).

I would love to see WKU in the Valley. Your basketball program is a good fit. Too bad it can't happen now.

Cleveland State won while in the AMCU with (Southwest) Missouri State (which made a couple runs under Charlie Spoonhauer in the 80's) and Northern Iowa (which beat Missouri in the NCAA's in 1990). You also forgot Wisconsin-Green Bay which also made some runs in the late 80's early 90's with Dick Bennett as coach and his son Tony (now at Washington State) running the offense.

No contest: Missouri Valley trumps Horizon. Butler even lost last year at either Evansville or Indiana State of the MVC, can't recall which, but they both finished in the bottom four of the MVC.

12/22 Western Kentucky @ Southern Illinois should be a good one. xpeacex
