Former University at Albany shortstop Brad Malm has signed a minor league deal with the New York Mets. Malm graduated from UAlbany this spring after spending five years with the program. He will be assigned to New York's Single-A affiliate, the St. Lucie Mets, in Port St. Lucie, Fla.
