I wasn't a fan of the trade when it happened, either--even assuming Gagne was going to be good! Why, after all, trade a promising young starter for a reliever we don't need? And now that it turns out Gagne is absolutely terrible, this could end up ranking as one of the worst trades of all time if Gabbard ends up having a decent career.

I can vouch for you, Cleets, that this is not 20/20 hindsight. I remember that you and I thought the Sox made a bad deal and said so at the time the trade was made.
Don't forget the Sox also threw in Engel Beltre, a 17-year-old potential five tooler.

He should wear the bloody sock. ;)
Who should throw out the first pitch for Game 6? Dave Roberts or Troy O'Leary? Maybe Pedro?

Ellsbury in for Crisp, but batting 8th, makes no sense, He should bat leadoff, move Pedoria to second and slot Youk 6th behind Lowell and move Drew to 7th and Tek to 8th

Just my opinion, but does anyone else think that the fox broadcasters have to be just about the worst in history? I think McCarver has to be about the worst. IMHO. Wish I was able to get some radio coverage so I could mute the damn TV. Thank you for letting me vent.

Doesn't even come close to Bill Buckner my friend.
Dice-K once again piddles out after 5 innings. Waste of money in my opinion. Lucky for him Boston has one of the deepest bullpens in the bigs.
