The University at Albany baseball team fell to UMass Lowell 3-2 on Friday afternoon, falling just short of a comeback in the ninth inning. Cregg Scherrer dominated for the Great Danes on the mound, giving up just two earned runs on two hits in eight innings of work, only to have his performance matched by the River Hawks.
