On a frigid, cold February day, Nathan Light '22, a pitcher for the Virginia Military Institute, would be granted an enigmatic day off due to the accumulation of snow earlier that morning. Unlike the majority of athletes, Nathan knew exactly how he was going to spend his day off. In search of something artistic that only the eye of the trained photographer could capture, he was looking for his light. Nathan, with the soft crunch of snow and ice under his feet, sounded the launch of another adventure on a path less traveled. Armed with his A-7 RD Sony camera, Nathan continued a journey that began in a Walmart over 10 years ago.
