CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Big South Conference announced today that Gardner-Webb men's swimmer Jonathan Frye and women's track athlete Louise Schmidtgen have been awarded the Conference's prestigious George A. Christenberry Award for Academic Excellence. The award is given to the male and female student-athlete who attain the highest GPA during their undergraduate collegiate careers.
