He came over the student section after the game and complimented us on how loud we were the entire game and how we stayed on their team the entire game

What a game! My compliments to the fans that made the trip. The coaches made great calls and the players pulled it close for what was a lost cause. An unbelievable comeback for you guys. The bunnies could pass the ball anywhere they wanted and damn near stopped Foster.

What is really encouraging for us Eagle fans is to see the never quit attitude out there on the field. Yes we had a sort of meltdown in the 2nd half today and came very, very close to losing, but it is so refreshing (especially after the disaster that was last year) to see us play with some passion.

If we make the playoffs this year and that is a real possibility as we sit at 4-1 right now, we will look back on this game as a huge turning point in this year.

Last year we found ways to lose almost every close game we played. This year we are finding ways to win most of them.

Hartley’s kick was the longest ever by an Eagle to win a game on the final play. It marked the first time since Jonathan Dudley’s 24-yard FG that the Eagles (4-1 overall) won a game on the final play (overtime at Northeastern in 2005 season-opener). Hartley’s career-best 54-yarder was the longest since Chris Chambers nailed a 57-yard attempt at the end of the first half at Oregon State on September 18, 1999.

You guys may be one of the best 1-4 FCS teams of all time. I'm not sure if our defense deserves credit for the two defensive touchdowns that we had, but remember you guys also had a defensive touchdown and a fumble give-away deep in SDSU territory.

The Jacks came back on Cal Poly last year to win. Cal Poly was winning 28-6 starting the 4th quarter and lost 29-28. The Jacks do not quit.

Great game on all accounts ... enough nerves shot on both sides, no doubt. It's very apparent that the Jack's team speed has increased since their last trip to Statesboro ...

Very impressed with the fans that travelled from South Dakota ... that contingent easily surpassed many of our conference foes ... save Furman and ASU on occasion.

The kick the Jack's missed at the end was pretty close, but a fumbled hold probably caused the kicker to push it right.
