We are as loaded as we have ever been. Is it similar for everyone else given all of the add'l Covid year players everyone has?
PS - when you're in the PL, Holy Cross wouldn't be considered a "breakout" as opposed to "overwhelming favorite" but I get why they're in there.

We should be better overall, as a team, if spring is an indicator. Much better on defense for sure—not much drop off offensively.

ISUr looking to bounce back from 4-7 season.
Last season ... we had no QB, no James Robinson, our 2019 defense was decimated by pandemic transfers and graduation, and the portal. But our defense still surprised at times despite and anemic offense.
This season .. hired OC with track record, Tony Peterson. Got promising FBS QB transfer from Minny .. started as true FR but injuries pushed him out of favor - hes been with team all spring and is impressing so far. Our young potent defense is a year older. And weve got a very good stable of young RBs ... just need some semblance of a pass game to keep defenses honest.
I think we should jump right back into 2nd tier of MVFC teams and be on playoff discussion.
P.s. if rankings last year were based solely on 1st half play, we were top 20 ... but like clockwork, we would start to fade mid Q3 and then collapse in Q4. Mostly because we had very little in way of sustained offense.

So glad we are not on the list as Maine does better when no one has expectations for them except for their own expectations. Winning 4 of our last 5 and returning most of the starters certainly gives the fans and the team optimism for success.
