Man! DeMarcus Beasley just fouled pretty tough and got nailed. Not sure if he'll return, they gave him the stretcher treatment. And wait, he's already back! Thank goodness...
I know there's so much great football going on tonight, but this CONCACAF rivalry gets me going just as much. U-S-A! U-S-A!

I heard that we sent back half of the Mexican team and their fans due to immigration laws. Any truth to the rumors? ;) :beerchug:

Seriously, that's f'd up. But anyway, we beat them and that's what matters. Not only did we defeat our arch-rival, we did it to qualify for the World Cup. Watch ESPN2 tonight at 10 pm to see us trounce Guatemala.

That didn't quite happen, I expected a better game of it out of us... :o

US was trying out a bunch of different players, but they did look unimpressive last night

US had four first time starters. What amounts to a third-string goalie in goal.
No Claudio Reyna. No DeMarcus Beasley. No Chris Armas. No Kasey Keller. No McBride, Hejduk and Landon Donovan came off the bench...

Yeah, the team we used tonight was a bunch of backups and Arena just wants to see who his final inclusions on the World Cup squad should be. But we still should've scored at least once considering the absurd number of chances we had.

It has been good to see former Furman Paladin Clint Dempsey in the USA lineup. Hopefully he will earn a spot on the World Cup roster with his versatility.

Clint is a great player and while he isn't first tier U.S. player yet, I believe that he should make the 06 Germany roster. His development from leaving FU till now has been phenomenal.

Did you guys know that DeMarcus Beasley is a first cousin of Appalachian State's DaVon Fowlkes? They grew up together in Fort Wayne, Indiana and were very close. Both of those guys are fast.

I'd be shocked if Clint Dempsey didn't make the US squad for the World Cup.
