Harris Interactive just released the results of their annual poll about the NFL, and the Dallas Cowboys have been voted the most popular team.

Seeing the Cowboys, Steelers, Packers and Bears rated highly doesn't surprise me ... but the Colts at No. 2 and Patriots at 6? Lots of people climbing on those bandwagons!

Both those teams will fall to the middle of the pack after a couple of 4-12 seasons. (and I'm a Patriots fan).

Glad the Texans are ahead of the Jaguars at the very least...

I wear my Texans watch proudly, definitely gets me some attention...

Colts have to be bandwagon fans. They lost most of their Baltimore fans, and Indiana and the parts of Kentucky that like Indy don't have that many people.

The Steelers fans are true fans!

They are bandwagon fans. You didn't see any Indy fans during those years that they sucked. Now they're everywhere.

Look at the poll. In 1998 when the Colts were 3-13, they were the the 23rd most popular team. In 2007, coming off a Super Bowl victory, they're 2nd. Total frontrunners!

I know the Cowboys have a lot of bandwaggoners, but I'm a huge Cowboys fan and have been since birth. I'm also from the Dallas area so no bandwaggon for me. Those 5-12 years killed me.

The Cowboys have been fairly lame for the last ten years (a few playoff berths, but nothing else), so the fact that they are still up high surprised me.

Not just Baltimore fans - the Colts really became a national team for many, many years because of John Unitas, just as Joe Namath made the Jets a national team for a shorter period. Should have faded away by now, however, especially since Johnnny U has passed away. xbawlingx

So the Cowboys played multiple 17-game seasons? I wonder how that worked? xeyebrowx

Also, go Steelers.

Look at the Chargers. From 23 to 10? Biggest jump from last to this year at least.
