After a few years of no 1st round picks from the FCS, Trevor Penning, OL from UNI, broke the trend when the Saints selected him as the #19 pick.

This year's 1st round was only the 4th time I-AA/FCS had two first rounders among its alumni. 1988, 2000 and 2008 were the other times.
At 7 PM EDT tonight the 2nd round will start.

Three 4th round FCSers in SDSU RB Pierre Strong Jr to the Patriots at #127, NDSU OT Cordell Volson to the Bengals at #136, and SCSU CB Decobie Durant to the Rams at #142.
Former HBU (more recently former WKU) QB Bailey Zappe also to the Patriots in the 4th round (#137).

SHSU CB Zyon McCollum: Pick #157 (5th round) to the Bucs
Missouri St DT Eric Johnson: Pick #159 (5th round) to the Colts
Samford WR Montrell Washington: Pick #162 (5th round) to the Broncos
SUU OT Braxton Jones: Pick #168 (5th round) to the Bears
Fordham OT Nick Zakelj: Pick #187 (6th round) to the 49ers
YSU TE Andrew Ogletree: Pick #192 (6th round) to the Colts
Jackson St LB James Houston IV: Pick #217 (6th round) to the Lions
That's 15 so far through 6 rounds (16 if you count Zappe who played 4 years at HBU before transferring to WKU). That's about as many as the last 2 drafts combined IIRC.
