Iowa State to leave AAU

Not directly sports related, but something more important- academics. Iowa State will be leaving the AAU. Nebraska used to be a member but left after being admitted to the Big Ten.

The AAU is not really "academic". It is basically a group of large industrial research facilities attached to universities. The status is based on business, not education.
