That's nuts.

You might still put them ahead of Wofford. OK, they did beat Michigan. You may still think they are the best in the country and will win the national championship again. But they were 0-1 in their conference. You cannot keep them at No. 1.

Who votes that way?

What is more nuts than someone voting Appalachian State No. 1 is the fact that Todd Shanesy has a vote in the TSN Top-25 (he gets the mailings to vote every week like all beat writers) and he doesn't utilize it.
