While not a huge yardage night, Delaware's Omar Cuff became UD's all-time scoring leader tonight scoring 3 touchdowns.

Brock Smith: 8-10, 194 yards, 3 TD, 1 INT

McNeese's Bryan Smith. 2 more sacks, giving him 7.5 in four games. Derrick Fourroux 12-for-17, 183 2 TDs, and another TD rushing.

Nice win tonight for McNeese. There are LOTS of FCS teams that would lose to South Dakota.

Well, the thread doesn't say outstanding individual performances, so my vote's for the entire UNI team going undefeated on the road the entire month of September.

The UMass defense. Held Heisman hopeful Matt Ryan and the Eagles to 323 total yards and 24 points (both the lowest totals for the year). Forced BC to punt seven times. We had two sacks. Haven't seen the hurries or knockdown stats yet, but we were collapsing the pocket around him all day. xthumbsupx

It is rare for me to say something complimentary about UMass, but I was very impressed by their performance against FBS 12th ranked Boston College yesterday. Very good showing for UMass and the CAA!

Cal Poly's 6'6" 235 lb Jr WR Ramses Barden continued to add to his outstanding season totals.

9/27/07 vs Northern Colorado:

4 recptions
158 yards
1 TD (20 yards)
39 yards per/recption

2007 season (5 games)

29 recptions
751 yards
8 TDs
25.9 yards per/recption
150.2 average yards per game

Not bad for a WR in a triple option offense.

Western Carolina's Eddie Cohen scored all three of Western's touchdowns against GSU and nearly scored a fourth were it not for a group of four eagle defenders that managed to topple him backwards away from the goal line. He also had 212 yards receiving and was open many times that day, despite not getting the ball thrown at him much. He's a real diamond in the rough on a not-so-good Western Carolina offense.

UMass has got my vote for #1. They or UNI certainly deserve it, given Montana's cupcake schedule and 18-10 win over winless Weber St.

Not bad for a kicker's first season at UNI:

Billy Hallgren (Coal Valley, Ill./Moline HS), kicking for the first time in his home state, drilled three field goals and a pair of extra points to help UNI to a 23-13 win at Illinois State. Hallgren made field goals from 19, 25 and 43 yards. His 43-yarder was a career-best and gave UNI a two-score advantage with 2:48 remaining in the fourth quarter against the Redbirds. Hallgren also kicked off six times and recorded three touchbacks.

UMass Jason Hatchell, 9 tackles vs BC, and one huge pass defense. That stat even seems a little low from what I was watching. Plus he pressured Ryan atleast 10 times. The kid has to be one of the best Linebackers in FCS. Puts his body on the line every single game.

Just kidding, I know its hard being #1I wouldn't count 23,000 pissed off fans screaming for the ref's head on a plate much of a "cheer." lol

But even after that, it wasn't much of a "cheer," more of a loud mass of sound. I also think we were louder then than at any other point in the game, and it contributed to Weber shooting itself in the foot.

Michael Mayers of Elon set a SoCon single game all-purpose yardage record with 387 yards Saturday vs. App St.

14 catches for 162 yards and a TD.
225 kick return yards including a 100 yard kick return for a TD and another long one to set up a score.

Our own Kevin Richardson got on track in the same game, rushing for 158 yards and a TD on 26 carries.

That god damn F***ing Richmond kick returner. :p

He has been a great boost 3rd nationally in KO returns, second 200yd + game. I really feel if we hold an opponent to a FG, we have won the battle because they have to KO. :D

At the same time, he has been the punt returner all year and hadn't attempted a return or fair catch, until the fumble saturday xnonono2x
