Hats of to patssle, that is very cool! Only thing I'd suggest is finding some drill sergeant to do the vocal parts :)

As for NDSU's, watching it live is a lot more impressive (unless you watched it in the dark with the volume cranked to 11 surrounded by several thousand people trying to hit the human equivalent of 11.1). Plus, showing the team coming down the tunnel live is the high point.

I went to a UVa game for the first time this weekend and their CavMan skit is pretty good.

For those that don't know...the opponents mascot is seen terrorizing the campus of UVa (sorry, for those that went there, it's "the grounds"). Cav Man steps up, slays the mascot and then rides off. After he rides off the live CavMan (the intro is CGI) rides into the stadium to fireworks.

The videos are usually kind of lame, but the way it all works together is really cool.

Plus, you can't beat riding in a live horse (except maybe riding in on a live buffalo...)

It's great on the 4 big screens in the corners, 18,000+ fans on their feet making noise, and it cuts to Coach Bohl and the team coming out of the locker room and out through the tunnel. xnodx xthumbsupx

and then the lights come on and everyone gets quiet and we do the Star Spangled Banner. I'm patriotic and all, but that really takes the excitement out of it. Anyone agree with me here...:(

Yeah that is a tad of a let down after the excitement of the intro. Not sure how it could be arranged to keep the excitement up through the kickoff. SSB before they come out???

We didn't even come out for stretching and warmups except for a few minutes.

The NDSU video is good, but its the atmosphere that makes it GREAT. Being inside, they can turn off the lights, crank up the soundsystem, have some fireworks, and they got the tunnel.

However, the camera guy really screwed up when he hit the outside of the tunnel and the screen goes full black because his iris is closed due to the tunnel.

When I went, the big discussion was whether CavMan would slay Hokie Bird or if it would be a big touchy, feely thing.

couple hundred thousand dollars. Huge money cost. Most teams justify it with selling lots of ads, but then that defeats the point since you will be only using it for ads, and not football highlights.

Get an old style board like they have at Fenway with the guys sitting behind it and turning the numbers.

not really...SHSU plays plenty of player features, interviesw, and highlights. we don't play any dedicated 100% commercials.

of course SHSU has a video person to create the content, most FCS schools don't.
