View Full Version : LSU's "Hidden Holliday" play

LSU's got the fastest player in college football, Trindon Holliday. He's also one of the smallest. On this play, they having him crouching down behind the offensive line in hopes that no one sees him then give him the ball on a reverse action. Didn't work as well as they'd hoped, I'm sure, but pretty cool. You can't see it too well on the first playback but when they do the replay they show the play from behind and you can see what they're trying to do.

That's what I call tryiing to use a player's individual characteristics to your advantage.

I think the Hidden Holliday play would've worked for a TD, too, if Holiday would've cut outside for the sideline instead of inside and into that South Carolina defender. The guy's been officially timed as fast as 10.02 in the 100 meters and there were blockers outside with a lot of space. You can see that at the end of the "from behind" replay.

I saw Ole Miss do almost the same exact thing to Florida earlier in the day.

The fake field goal play was one of the best I've ever seeen.
Do you have a link to that? I have heard a lot about it and have yet to see it.
