Seriously, get your act together or just drop out of the Patriot League. Hoyas managed a grand total of 2 (two) first downs in their 55-0 drubbing against Holy Cross and gained a grand total of 65 yards. They were outgained by a 10-1 margin. It's not like they were playing a FCS power either. Holy Cross, while solid, is not a ranked team. To field a team like that is an embarrasment to the university and to the league. Even our bottom feeder program in the CAA, Rhode Island, can play some good football every once and a while as they led a ranked Hofstra by 17 @ the half and took Army to OT. The schools in the Patriot are peer institutions and encounter the same ( if not worse) budgetary problems inherent with private universities. It's time to pony up G.U.

Georgetown does have a lot of issues to deal with. I think ultimately they do/will take a look at their football program and decide if the PL is the best place for them to be in. After 6 seasons in the league the Hoyas have shown "0" improvement which i believe everyone would agree is not a good thing. Unless they decide to spend money on the program things aren't going to get better. Atleast by Georgetown being in the league our auto bid is safe. Plus the Hoyas are an automatic conference win and there's very few of those.

I was pretty amazed that Holy Cross won so easily. After seeing the Hoyas battle mightily against Yale, I was surprised that they completely fell apart. It is looking to be a potentially rough year for the Hoyas, and they will need to really dig inside to make something in the last seven games.

Umm, why does it matter to you whether or not Georgetown is in the PL? xeyebrowx

They've played plenty of teams tough in the past. The fact that they don't fund fully is disappointing to the rest of the League, certainly. We'd like to see them do well, as it improves the conference, plus a strong Georgetown is a great name-brand to be attached with, academically and athletically. We're hardly prepared to kick them out, nor should we be.
