Richmond Athletics concluded its season-long celebration of 50 seasons of basketball at the Robins Center on Friday, February 25th as the men's basketball team hosted Saint Louis for a nationally-televised matchup on ESPN2. Fittingly, the final word on the arena and its meaning to Richmond Athletics and the wider campus community over the last half-century belonged to President Kevin F. Hallock, who was featured in a video played in front of the crowd of 6,750 during the first half. Hallock called the facility "a home for every Spider" in the video, which also featured current and former Spider basketball stars, long-time season-ticket holders, and other VIPs and was produced by University Communications and Richmond Athletics.
