I don't want to be mean, but Drake had the worst atmosphere for any college football game I have ever been to. It was so hard for me to get into the game and get excited. There were no big chants and just not a lot of excitement.

It was a pretty boring game minus all the scoring.

I do wish Drake luck for the rest of the season though.

The atmosphere was a bit stale. Especially given we had that historic stadium filled with 10k+. I think the 4:00 kickoff and warm weather had something to do with that. Other factors were the huge gap between the stands and field because of the big blue track and the longer TV timeouts.

In fact, it was such an odd atmosphere at the start of the game, I was really worried about UNI coming out flat and letting Drake get in the game. Didn't happen though.

A 6:00 kickoff and playing under the lights would have brought out a better crowd reaction.

Definition of "Class": UNI OC Salmon and HC Farley calling three take-a-knees on first and goal at the 1YL. Somehow, can't see that happening at some FCS places I've been to.

Cap'n Cat was on the sidelines with the Little Cats the entire game and used that as a "life's lessons" opportunity when they were screaming for another UNI TD.

Agree on the FB atmosphere at Drake. Might have something to do with that big-ass blue track which keeps fans about 100 yards from the field. Still both crowds were into it. Opposing fans stare into the sun the whole game with a 4:00 pm kickoff.

Tailgating was cool.
