I can hardly wait to see NDSU in the Gateway next year.
Good work.

Its too bad that you won't get a chance to see some of the seniors on this team play. Walker, Mays and others are a great bunch. It's going to be tough to replace them but good teams just reload. Hopefully we have the backups in place to replace them and represent well next year.

MSU 21

MSU needs some offensive consistency, Weber needs to find their QB (Jimmy Barnes is anything BUT touted, threw two picks). A win nonetheless, and I will take that anyday.

Statistically, Barnes hasn't done great so far. What was your impression of him? Did you go to Weber, or watch on Altitude?

That will be a good game and its in Poly. I think they will be looking for revenge from last years butt kicking but based on what I've seen so far I don't see us losing to them.

Statistically, Barnes hasn't done great so far. What was your impression of him? Did you go to Weber, or watch on Altitude?

I was watching it on TV. He was pulled after the second series when he threw a pick that was returned for a TD. He was put back in later in the game and did THE SAME THING. On that particular play, he should have seen the DB coming in from his peripheral, as he was looking at his receiver for a good 2-3 seconds. He wasn't consistent, made lots of errors in reading the D. The guy they put in for most of the game (Doyle) was pretty decent. He made some nice passes, and made some play for Weber, but it wasn't enough. But the bottom line from this game is that Weber's D is pretty dang good. Their secondary was keeping Rolo from making any big plays. Their LB's were putting some good pressure on Rolo as well. Tough game.xnodx

Let's just say I am not overwhelmingly happy at the moment.

Ridiculous on offense.

Ridiculous. There are plenty of coaching issues on the offensive side of the ball. The offense looks unprepared for what the defense is doing. We want to run tons of flat passes, and they can't run it right.

The only deal with the defense is that they don't force turnovers.

Defense gave up one score and it was basically a blow out. O-line plays good. Skill positions on offense have been really bad. Receivers haven't been great either.

Listening to Mac as I write this. It's just so damn frustrating.

looks like that long grass is working for suu.xlolx ncneese is up 3-0 after 1.

Sorry but it was 10-0 after the first and 27-0 at half. The 2nd and 3rd teams played the whole second half is the only reason the stats looked as good as they did for SUU. This game could have been a 60-0 blowout if the starters were left in.

We did find worse officials than the SWAC tonight. This GW crew was the absolute worse group I have ever seen xsmhx

The guys making the McNeese radio call didn't ever say the officials were "bad" but they did feel that, after the Bryan Smith sack where the SUU QB got his neck hurt and had to be taken off on a backboard, the officials were really "ticky-tacking" McNeese...calling them for penalties when all they were doing was making good, aggressive plays on defense. They also said that Smith did not make a dirty play when he hurt the QB's neck. I'll be interested in watching the replay on the internet. 18 penalties for 182 yards is a lot.
