Byron Leftwich.
May the football god's help him in Fairweather city U.S.A.xwhistlex

New QB in Buzzard's Nest........... xlolx . xlolx (http://www.ajc.com/sports/content/sports/falcons/stories/2007/09/18/leftwich_0919.html?cxntlid=homepage_tab_newstab)

Quarterback Byron Leftwich agreed to a two-year, $6 million contract with the Falcons on Tuesday, but one thing that won't be included in the deal is his longtime jersey number — 7.

The former Jacksonville Jaguars starter passed his physical and went through a workout before coming to terms with a team in search of any help it can get on offense. Leftwich was in need of work after being released by the Jaguars, a team for which started 44 games from 2003-06.

Meat grinder for quarterbacks- the Smith family ruined that franchise, and it hasn't recovered.

I don't think Leftwich is even a better QB. The Jaguars only made the playoffs one time while he was there, and Garrard was the QB for the last several games of the season. In the playoffs, Leftwich started against the Patriots and lost. He is nowhere close to as good of an athlete as Mike Vick, and I'm not sure he's much better than Joey Harrington.

The only thing that's gonna help Atlanta is an owner that understands a QB need more recievers than a tightend to throw too.
Don't care who you put back there as QB.

The Patroit's didn't have superstar's before Moss, but they had 4 guy's that can shake a defender and go after the ball.
Atlanta's only receiver they have had since Bad Moon Rison is Joe Horn.

And he just got there this year. xlolx

The Falcons had a good QB.. but they traded him to Houston and now the Texans are 2-0.

And you see that he could not produce with those receivers.
The QB now can't produce with those guy's.

Vick's "receiver's" would have 20 dropped passes a game.
them mofo's could not catch a cold, wet and butt naked in an Alaskan winter.

I remember watching a Falcons game last year where the receivers dropped several of Vick's passes.
I remember thinking that an empty bucket would catch more passes than Vick's receivers.

The Falcons have been doing well with Harrington, tossing all those TDs. xlolx

The Falcons have more sacks than points this year. Part of that has to be blamed on the line. The difference with Vick was that he could get himself out of the pocket when he was about to be sacked. Most QBs in the league can't do that.

People will never admit that.
That's why their present QB is getting his bell rung now.
He can't get away from the pass rush like Vick could and neither could Schwab? behind that line.

The only reason the Buzzards had a running game is because the defense had to respect the double threat of Vick.
They don't have to do that anymore and look at the result.

Vick played behind the same offensive line and had the same receivers and only NOW that he's gone, people are saying the Offensive line sucks.

When Vick was there it was all his fault.xlolx

His receivers could not catch.xlolx

You notice that Herrington is not a good running back and he spends most of the game ON HIS BACK because of it. xlolx

And the bottom line is outside of Vick, Dunn, Norwood, and Crumpler, the Atlanta Falcons were a bad team all along.xnodx
Defense, Offensive line, receivers .................... Sucked.xnodx

In fact...............They sucked bigtime and it's showing now.
They can't hide that fact and blame Vick anymore.xsmhx

If Leftwich has to play I hope he has a good insurance policy, because he spends too much time in the pocket.
