They've got one thing on the AGS poll this week and that's having Southern Illinois closer to where they should be. I have them at #3 in my poll but they're at #9 in our poll, which is way too low.

We won't know how good my Salukis are until week 6 against YSU @ Home.

Week 6 has your Salukis on the road (in the Dome) against UNI. I suppose we'll have a good idea about how good both teams are by then. xnodx
EDIT: Nevermind, I didn't take into account UNI's bye week before our homecoming game against SIU.

I'm still on the fence about the quality of our Saluki team. I think we have question marks and problem areas that will be addressed in the coming weeks.

Were there any major ups or downs in the rankings?

Playing Youngstown and UNI in back-to-back weeks may well decide where SIU finishes in the conference race. I particularly dread the trip to the DOME! for obvious reasons.

With as good as UNI is this year, the fact that it is in the Saluki's favorite dome, it is UNI's homecoming, AND it will be our first home game since week one, I have to like UNI's situation for that game.
If we win our next two games, a sell out is all but guaranteed.

Your poll has some interesting decisions. The first one I noticed is what the JMU fan brought up. JMU beat UNH and was clearly the better team. SIU beat a bad NIU team and is probably a bit high at #3. I don't understand how you have both JMU and Montana behind Mcneese, when UM basically beat the same McNeese team last year. I'd have NDSU ahead of UMASS since NDSU beat a very good SHSU team. There are a few others, but I'll stop here.

Colgate, Towson and Holy Cross are 5-0 against their non-UMass schedule. Against UMass they are 0-3.
UMass has not played any DII teams or mid-majors. How could UMass be lower than #2?

74, I can live with UNI # 2. Yea, they played a non DI team...but beat an FBS team too...
John, thanks for that site...but who are these few people that rank UMass #1 xeekx xeekx
We're beaten quality teams...but not quite Michigan (I know...Big Blue isn't what everyone thought it was...still the top-notch win by an FCS team this year, IMHO)

Flip UNH and JMU and you are pretty close. JMU is awesome. UNH has a chance to be, as well, but still couldn't solve JMU again this year.
