The winning buyer of Barry Bonds' 756th homerun has set up a poll asking people what he should do with it:

1. Give it to Cooperstown

2. Brand it with an asterisk, and then send it to Cooperstown

or, 3. Launch it into outer space and never see again!

Marc Ecko was the one who bought it? I did not know that. Interesting...

He bought it $750,000, and there's the possibility that he will just blow it up. Wow, a lot of better things one could do with that money!

Brand it...

It does have a place in history, regardless if it's legit or not. It should atleast go to Cooperstown...

It should go after Barry Bonds said he wouldn't give it to the Hall of Fame

Did he say that? I thought he said that whoever caught it should do what they want with it, since it belonged to that person, not Bonds.

Really, I thought he said that if he got the ball (like Hank Aaron did), he would not give it to the Hall of Fame, and he instead would give his helmet (so he could show his oversized head).

Bonds truly has no respect for the game if that's the case...baseball is about history and traditions. Records should be preserved and whether we agree or not, the ball has history...it goes to the Hall.

Well said. Although having an asterisk in it would be pretty good. Imagine in a hundred years, a little league team goes to Cooperstown, sees the ball in its display case, and one of the kids asks, "Why is there a big mark on the ball?"

Definitely the * option.
