I think so. That "gap" people talk about is being broken straight open with six upsets of FCS teams over FBS schools.
What do you think?

Yeah.
Beating FBS teams is really getting to be old hat.

Nope. FBS is still absolutely dominating week after week. What we do have is more games period. The rule changes have created MANY more opportunities for upsets. I think that gap is about the same, it is just that FCS has many more opportunities for upsets. I am far too lazy to look up past performance of FCS versus FBS on a percentage basis over time, but I have a feeling that this year we might be a hair better.... Even so, there are more "lower tier" FCS teams playing good FCS teams than ever before so on balance, I still think it is about the same....

It's a bit too early to tell, especially with another week of FBS/FCS matchups coming, and hopefully the last for this year. However, I do believe it is not closing, because still most FBS teams still beat FCS teams by 20+ points. (read: some of the ranked teams who played FBS this week were defeated by 20+ points - all but McNeese and UNH)

Not a lot of promising match-ups there. FCS has gotten 2 games each week. Not sure if they'll get any in week 4.

I dont think William & Mary or Illinois State will win next week for sure. Sorry especially to the Redbirds.

I too will be very surprised if NDSU loses this game.
I wouldn't say the gap is closing by an means though. As has been pointed out, there are many more games than there used to be, and most of the games are still blowouts. If I wasn't so lazy I would look at the percentages of games won by FCS teams year to year. I would wager that it stays fairly constant.
