Iowa just lost at Ames, to ISU with a final score of 15-13.
That makes UNI the mythical state champ.
I suppose that gives Drake an opportunity to ruin that, haha!

Drake Head Coach Steve Loney (Former OC at Iowa State) just said on the post game show "Who ever thought that the mythical state title game will be taking place at Drake Stadium."
Well... Drake did win the "actual" state title in men's basketball this past year (they actually made a trophy for it), so anything is possible!

They really should. UNI doesn't have any trophy games. In fact, our biggest rivals are Iowa and Iowa State and they are very one-sided.
SIU would be our biggest rivalry outside of the state. And while it is a fun game, it's not a big rivalry by any means.

It isn't? xconfusedx
I'd say SIU is our main rival. YSU and UNI have some hatred, but 6-0 under Farley doesn't make it feel that way. SIU is back and forth every year and always means something. Big game and this year it's homecoming. WIU and Mo State are our historical rivals, but with their programs on a down swing lately the games haven't felt as important.

Last year it was basketball, now football. Man Drake and UNI are cleaning up Iowa.

It should be a good game in Des Moines next Saturday. I know me and four other UNI fans are making the trip.
