I heard on XM a couple of weeks ago that Jr. was going to be sporting 38. That appears to have been wrong or did something happen to not permit him to have 38?

I heard that too, but it fell through. I forget why.

Apparently Yates said he wasnt selling the number, ironically now it appears he is, just the 88 instead of the 38.

Wow I'm really behind I guess because wasn't there some controversy over NASCAR owning the numbers and teams not being able to sell them?

well technically its not selling. A team has first refusla for numbers. NASCAR generally will go along with teams transfering numbers. It shouldnt be called selling but thats basically what it was.

lol to loud for me i dont do motorsports in person.... Though I did sit on the hill at Loudon for a indy style race back in 1992 before the series split into CART and IRL dun remember what it was called then though.

Yeah you got that right. Went down to the fence at Vegas last year during qualifying and probably shouldn't have. Real loud for a split second and then there far away quickly. If you look Straight ahead when one is going by you can't even make out a car shape it's just a flash of color. Of course I've gotten that effect from alcohol for a lot less money.

I'm going to Dover on Sunday!! Be my fourth and final race of the year. I go to both Pocono and Dover races. We started going to Dover in 1990 and i've gone to both races there since 1992. Hopefully the weather is a lot better than in June. It monsooned Sunday and the race was run on Monday. We drove 4 1/2 hours Sunday to sit in the car, wait 4 hours hear it was cancelled and drive all the way back. I went back on Monday with my friend but my Dad couldn't get off to go back down. Here's a couple pics from the June race.

Not very impressive. Looks like a Busch car color scheme.

Hopefully this was a quick mock-up and they'll have something better by next season.
