As we begin the football season tomorrow with the first games, I offer these thoughts for your reflection (or prayers if you choose).
May, in our time in the football stadiums this weekend, we enjoy a few hours of exciting distraction away from high gas prices, low politics, and broken levees.
May we remember those this weekend for whom no pigskin distraction will take them away from the misery of this past week.
May the players, officials, and fans be safe on the field and off.
May lessons learned in the classroom be as valuable as plays executed on the field.
May we remember the people on the opposing bench and sidelines are people just like us (even if they pull for the wrong team ;) )
May the winners be gracious and the losers be good sports and may we all have great memories that last a lifetime.
May Monday find us on AGS with great stories to tell, victories to celebrate, and a return to normality after a trying few days.
Be well AGS friends
