It's probably arthritis catching up on the old man...xlolx

Seriously, that stinks for him. He always seemed like a genuinely nice guy. I hope that it doesn't have too much of an effect on his career.

This sucks for Oden. He seems like a good guy. He can laugh at himself which I think is a good quality.

I'm not sure this is bad for Portland though. They weren't going far this year anyway, now they have a shot at next years number 1 pick. This could be good for the Trailblazers.

You have to look on the bright side for Oden. While he is rehabbing he can collect 2 checks. One from Portland and one from Social Security.xlolx

Wrist. Knees. Hell, and I thought I felt old.

This dude should be a card carryin' member of the AARP. He's gonna be the answer to a trivia question someday:

What first round bust was the only player selected ahead of hall-of-famer Kevin Durant in the 2007 NBA draft? xlolx xlolx xlolx xlolx

Durant's not going to do anything until he gets out of Seattle - they're not going anywhere next year either, even with Durant playing for them.

I can see the career stat lines now, after 10 years in the NBA:

Greg Oden, 216 games played, 3.6 ppg, 2.5 rpg, 1.2 blocks, .7 assists, hell he's gonna be a black Ostertag.

Kevin Durant, 800 games played, 22 ppg, 7 rpg, 2 blocks, 4 assists, 2 MVP's, 1 NBA title, 50 greatest players of all time....

We should take that bet now - no way do the Supersonics (or whatever they become after they move) win an NBA title in the next 10 years. I don't think they even make the Finals. Of course, all bets are off if they move and get slotted into the Eastern Conference, then they could win multiple titles in half the time. xlolx xlolx xlolx xlolx

I never said the title would be with Seattle. Note that it's a 10 year snapshot. He's GONE after the first 3 year contract. Guaranteed....he don't want to play for a losing team....
