How'd Nicholls jump so much for a win over Div II? Don't mind it, they are deserving of such a high spot. Guess the media wasn't paying too much attention last week when they submitted their ballot...
Glad to see PVA&M getting some love...

Polls are interesting and fun for the fans, but the beautiful thing about FCS is that the best team is decided on the field.

I like how we got no votes whatsoever despite beating Portland State on the road...while still giving the Viks two safeties and possessions that lead to points in the 1st half.

These polls were worthless in preseason and continue to show no redeeming value. There should be no polls until the 4th or 5th week. I don't even know that there should be polls in FCS - people obviously don't watch games or even look at scores. There's no logic to it at all

I'm sorry, but the fact that Texas State is still getting more votes than Missouri State is the biggest joke out of any poll that I've seen so far this year. Granted, I'm biased because I'm a MO State fan, but still. That's absurd.

Pretty sure that DII loss is scaring off voters from your squad.
Don't understand the Portland State votes though.

Yeah, I know, but even the coaches and AGS are giving UC Davis a few votes. That's really all you could expect at this point of our season. Furman too high, Mo. State is looking good so far...needs more votes...still very early, agree it's too soon to know for sure.

Do you honestly believe the Paladins should fall out of the top 20 or something? They go on the road and play possibly the toughest defense in the deepest conference, and we should fall 20 spots?
That Hofstra team is good.

The answer is simple. Top twenty (and usually higher) team every year. People are giving Furman the benefit of the doubt. I am not saying it is right or wrong, but that is exactly what is happening. Week five will tell against an apparently very good Wofford team

The first few weeks of the poll are just a way for voters to adjust to the realities of a new season. I won't worry about the polls' accuracy until week 4 or 5 once everyone has played enough teams for some good comparisons.

Got news for you...there are several teams that have a much better defense in the CAA. UMass and JMU come to mind. UD and W&M don't.

A little early to be trashing Hofstra, don't you think? Heck, they were right behind both UMass and JMU in total defense last year (and were better in pass defense) and that was when they were saddled with the worst offense in the conference. But that was last year, this year they have 9 defensive starters back and apparently so far so good. Hofstra could very well have the best defense in the conference this year, time will tell.

Here's the thing. Rarely is Furman's offense slowed down, much less stopped. Furman will lose games, sure, but they will put up 450 yrds of offense doing it.
Hofstra completely shut down the Paladins. They return 9 starters on D. They only surrendered 10 pts to UNH last season. That defense is the best we've played in quite sometime (and that is coming out of the conference that produces national champions not contenders)

Wow 2 votes for Rhode Island??? That means who is missing from the CAA?
....NU, W&M..... Step it up Huskies and Tribe, we can make it 12 for 12! Would that be a record?

Texas State doesn't deserve that many votes after losing by a large margin to a D2 school and Portland State getting 58 points is baffling.
Richmond, Alabama A&M, Missouri State, and Delaware State deserve more LOVE.

Thanks for the LOVE Mr. Tiger. I still like the fact that we are recieving 81 votes the most out of all the three polls what is up with the other two ? I also love the fact that there are now 6 CAA teams in the top 25 it is crazy.
