Love hearing about what schools are doing and what they are spending.

This looks way-cool & FUBeAR loves everything about it. Love to see similar designs/efforts/buildings at the schools he supports…but doesn’t really seem like a stadium expansion / overhaul / upgrade. Seems like a really cool Athletics dorm / dining facility is being attached to / integrated with the stadium.

Is FUBeAR missing something from this info?

I heard UCA is upgrading the quality of the food sold at home games. Hot dogs will no longer be allowed to float like turds in cold hot dog water for more than 6 or 7 hours before being crammed into a cheap bun and wrapped in tin foil, crushed, and slapped down on the counter and sold for $3 a pop.

The entire visitor side grandstand and the press box is being demo'd and replaced with more premium seating.

The old field house/atheltics offices/locker rooms are being demo'd and replaced with a brand new top tier facility. The housing and dining area is supposed geared toward having the athletes living there and will have a new training table and all that fun jazz.

The capacity is actually decreasing from 24k to 20k but redoing the visitor side should make it a much more intimate environment and make it hella loud. And will have a lot more premium seating options for raking in them sweet dollars.

Renderings I've seen looks like we'll have party decks to rent out.

TBA on how it will impact our ability for future expansions.

UND is starting a new public/private project called Memorial Village which is tied into the athletic facilities. They removed Memorial Stadium last fall and they are starting construction this spring. Here is a link talking about the history of the stadium and a discussion about the new project. They have some interesting historical videos you can watch.

These new coaches love the recent upgrades to Delaware stadium

The long awaited upgrade to the West Stands is everything we'd hope for in terms of fan experience. The Stadium Club is a great addition as well but who really benefits are the student athletes with the Whitney Athletic Center. The Joe Flacco weight room and all the other amenities are going to help the athletic program significantly.

I was up at UNH a few years ago and saw the new stadium. Really glad and well deserved!

Not an upgrade in 2022, but Bryant started a campaign for a new basketball/convocation arena. Below are the original renderings of the project and then today as part of the University's "Giving Day" a new rendering came out that shows better integration of the basketball arena into the football stadium (similar to URI's Ryan Center and Meade Stadium).

Not that Saban is coming to town any time soon. But doesn’t this hurt JSU’s ability to host lesser P5 opponents? Decreasing capacity to 20k would seem to affect that if JSU can pull near that number for OVC games.

Two more photos of the new basketball arena/football seating. In the Bryant football recruiting book (https://express.adobe.com/page/zOafavbLwFuJl/), it also notes that the team will be upgrading locker rooms and meeting rooms on the "home stands"
