I don't know who it will be, but Jayson Foster QB for GSU makes his claim.
11 rushes for 231 yds 3 tds
6 of 9 passing for 124 yds 1 td
Any other noteworthy performances? List them.

I'd vote for Foster if it were up to me...Foster had to share the starting position with Clark. And it's hard to beat 355 total yards and 21 YPC.

Listened to both the App game and the GSU game I would have to agree with you. When West Georgia was winning, Foster took you on his back with 2 huge TD runs. 1 in the first half and the other in the second. He gave life back to GSU when your backs were to the walls!

I don't know about that guys. Elon's freshman QB went 23-34 for 362 yards and 3 TDs in 3 quarters of play. Terrel Hudgins also had 142 yards receiving on 8 catches too.
In only Riddle's 2nd game, he came close to breaking the school record for yards passing in a single game (386).

All great performances. With the Citadels lopsided game, someone there should have put up some good #'s.

Jayson had a 54 yd td run, 60 something yarder, 76 yarder and a 81 yard td pass on a perfectly thrown ball. He gets my vote. :D

He should get freshman of the week.

Duran Lawson in only one half of play had 276 yards total offense with 3 passing TDS (all to Andre Roberts who only caught 3 balls for 86 yards) and one rushing TD, with 55 yards rushing in only 6 carries. 12-21 passing for 220 yards with no turnovers. And Tory Cooper had 110 yard rushing for 2 tds in 16 carries and 3 Rec. for 69 yards in one half of play. Everyone got into the stats in the seconds half. Not sure we deserve a player of the week because of the competition was much less then the other schools in the conference, but the stats are there.
But look for the defensive player to come from The Citadel as we blocked 3 punts, one for a td, had 2 ints and one fumble recovery while holding Webber Int to 38 total rushing yards in 40 carries.

Punt blocks? Wouldn't that be special teams and not defense?

I think Jayson Foster for the following reasons: One they needed him to do it, Georgia Southern was clinging to him, hoping for him to deliver and he did. Second, he did it from all over the field. Third all the other guys did it in games that weren't even close.

Bo Williamson for Elon had 2 punt blocks, 1 returned for a TD.
Carlos Sullivan returned a punt 80 yards for a TD.
Maybe not worth POW but noteworthy by all means.
Lots of good performances in the SoCon yesterday. Is it me or does the conference seems a bit different this year with Elon and The Citadel playing tons better?

I thought that Trey did a GREAT job, his first pass of the day should have been caught for a TD. His stats would have probably looked better if Coach Moore hadn't slowed things down in the 2nd quarter. I thought Trey played 3 quarters instead of 2, though. Didn't notice Hunter Stewart until the 4th.
That being said, I think that the player of the week should probably be someone in a different game. L-R didn't stand a chance. They aren't a strong DII team. So, as much as I hate to say it, I think App should be out of the running for this one.
