Doug Flutie just said that App should have been elevated to I-A and UM demoted to I-AA after last week's game. xrotatehx

Apparently beating Michigan at home isn't that difficult.

I'd say App State is beating them again. The team has not let last week go. Carr needs to do something to snap them out of it or he is going to be out of a job (if he isn't right now).

To say they "quit" would presume that they had ever "started". xeyebrowx

I have to admit I am enjoying Oregon being ahead but it does minimize the App. State win.....which I am ok with.
I don't know the Oregon offence (just looking in on the score once in a while) but the pregame said it was the same style as the App Stat offence which could give them problems..........looks like that is true.

At the end of the halftime show, they said "Michigan has been exposed, Appalachian State was no fluke, they were obviously the better team."
Though it takes a little off the win, people now will say App State probably is better.
Reopen the poll on who would win a rematch.

The sideline reporter said Chad Henne is done for the game.

Michigan had over 300 yards of offense in the first half and only scored 7 points???????????????????????????

They had several long drives ending in turnovers.

Oregon lost a lot of talent from last year but they should still be 4th-5th in the Pac 10, which apparently is better than Mich. would do ;)

Ex UNH offensive Cood from last year Chip Kelly is the new OC for the Ducks and has been running alot of the same plays he used to make the Cats offense go for the last few years..To listen to the ABC crew they never seen any of this stuf when the Cats and App state have been running this style for awhile xnodx

Damn, Michigan is not playing as well this week as last week.

I think the problem, unfortunately, is that Michigan isn't very good for a BCS league team. I don't know about I-AA/FCS overall but I know that, going into this year, there has only been one instance in history in which a I-AA/FCS playoff team beat a "major" (comparable to BCS league) team with a winning record. That happened when The Citadel beat South Carolina in 1990 and South Carolina went on to finish 6-5.
Right now, it doesn't look like Michigan is a lock at all to even finish with a winning record. It could very well be that what App did in terms of beating a BCS league team wasn't unprecedented in real terms at all. It may have been more a matter of perception...the fact that people thought Michigan was a top caliber I-A/FBS. By the time the season is over it may not seem any more of an accomplishment as, say, UC Davis beating a Stanford team that went on to finish 5-6 in 2004.
Time will tell. But right now Michigan is looking pretty weak.

If Oregon doesn't call off the dogs they're going to get over 600 yards of offense.

this is pathetic for Michigan, they only had one thing to do to make us look good, at least they got Northwestern this year, and Notre Dame...

I don't know if Notre Dame is THIS BAD

I think that "roughing the kicker" penalty was a pity move by the ref. Even the REFS think that Michigan sucks.:(

Well, that puts Oregon over 600 yards.

This is horrible news for LSU. I don't know if Carr's going to make it through the season now. Miles going to Michigan as head coach is looking like a very strong possibility. It's his alma mater and he was honest up front in saying that's his dream job.

Oregon 39-7 Final
If Michigan gets killed by Notre Dame next week, Carr might be gone. Michigan probably will start 0-4 this year after losing to ND and Penn State. I'm wondering if they'll lose to Eastern Michigan and then they won't be the best team in Washtenaw County.

I hope they right the ship and win the Big 10. I'd like to be able to say a FCS beat a top BCS team and I'd like for Miles to stay at LSU. But it doesn't look good.

We all wish, but it looks VERY unlikely
