I got to know Billy a little bit when he was the Mocs DC fifteen years or so ago, and he was a really great person and I really liked him. I know he's an ETSU grad ( I tried not to hold that against him!) and I'm sure it would be a dream job for him. If he gets the job, I'll wish him the best - unless he's playing the Mocs of course!!

They remind me a bit of Georgia Southern, App State, and NDSU fans only without the National Championships. And since KSU didn't compete in FCS football during this time, I'll fill you in that GSU and App State were once top teams in the FCS and multiple National Championship winners.

As much as I would love to see the Bucs be the SoCon doormat, I don't think they will be. I'm not sure if they will stay SoCon Championship caliber in the post Quay Holmes era, but their administration has put a commitment into football where they won't drop too far down for long. The Bucs will be fine.

I was told those in Holmes ear have told him there is a limited shelf life to RBs. That his body only has so many carries left in it....and they aren't wrong...but...he may not get drafted, but he will get an invite and a shot!!!

Holy cow, that was a mouthful over the past 48 hours or so. Coach Sanders deserves the thanks of a grateful fanbase. He brought a culture of winning and discipline to a team that was lacking in both. Here's hoping the next head coach will bring ETSU to the next level. I am grateful that he showed up at the time he did and made ETSU football relevant again.

KSU's first five years is impressive - I can't deny that, though if you really want to talk the most successful start up program EVER you should look at Georgia Southern. They played their first FCS game in 1984, won National Championships in 1985 and 1986. Went to the Quarterfinals in 1987, lost the NC game in 1988 (and then went on to win NC's in 1989 and 1990 - though that was year 6 and 7 of the program). So in the first five years of the Eagles program they had two National Championships, another Runner Up, and a playoff record of 12-2. That sort of success will probably never be seen again in a programs first five years.

Maybe this is me talking out of both sides of my mouth, but.... I think Randy seems to be an honorable guy and I don't foresee some scandalous dealings that led to this (if so, they have done a great job keeping it quiet), but the timing is REALLY SUSPECT and if something comes out later, I won't be shocked.

Fisher is a former NFL coach with a trip to Super Bowl to his name. He could work, at least he would be a better choice for us than Schellno was at Big Brother.
