I personally think that the WR made the play. I say that because he slowed up just a little bit and then sped up to create enough space for the catch.

I think Sac State absolutely deserved a seed. Just they should have been a 7 or 8 seed. They were too heavily rewarded for winning the conference. Montana State had only one FCS loss, a top 10 road win and was given the 8 seed. That doesn't happen often in the FCS. I figured MSU would get the 6, UM the 5, and Sac State the 7. With EWU and ETSU battling it out for the final seed. EWU's home loss to Weber State took away any opportunity to have the right to be upset with not getting a seed.

yes the announcers for the playoffs have been pretty terrible. the guy announcing the rabbits game last week said that the teams were running RPO every time they used play action. for THE ENTIRE GAME!

i mean obviously EVERY time the QB goes back to throw he has a run pass option, but your normal play action passing game is NOT RPO

I’m in absolute shock. I just didn’t see how Montana State considering how much they run the ball would have any success moving the ball against our defense. The three interceptions will absolute killers, and it’s something Schmid was able to avoid in the spring. It was a great ride.

We didn’t give up a 100 yard rusher all fall season long. The secondary play wasn’t very good all year, and ended up getting exposed in the playoffs. Montana State deserves credit for what they did, but to belittle the accomplishment of winning a national championship is stupid. Eric Schmid played his worst game of the season at the worst time. Turn the page and now it’s time to focus on beating SFA for the 11th consecutive time.

First off… hats off to MSU. Better team from the opening kick. I knew we were in trouble when we muffed the opening kick. Then of course the pick a couple plays later. Schmid wasn’t himself for most of this year for some reason. Maybe we will hear more maybe we won’t. Either way MSU defense is championship caliber and I’ll be rooting for them to win it all.
Second… adios *******!! I’ll miss the fcs playoffs and hopefully in a few years the FBS will get something figured out.

This loss stings and I’m sure the team and esp the seniors are heartbroken but make no mistake they are champions. As much as some of you downplay our championship it’s ours and every single team would absolutely claim it if they woulda won it. Thanks for the memories FCS.

Idk, SHSU actually beat JMU in the spring and Montana got boat raced. Don’t think including the Griz would have changed anything.

The simple face is that the 2 turnovers deep in their own ends cost SHSU. Obviously kudos to MSU die making the plays, but the MSU offense is brutal to watch.

Just wanted to say it was great having you around. Quite honestly, I have posted in the past about the success of Sam Houston over the past decade and even defended this success on a few occasions. It is simply fact that Sam Houston was the 2nd-most successful FCS team of the decade...and they got their title, which was completely legitimate given the fact that everybody had to deal with COVID and circumstances related. If teams/conferences did not participate, I don't think it diminished the navigation through the season and the fact that the spring playoffs had some pretty damned good teams in it. Now, Sam's 22 wins in a row in a calendar year is a bit of a stretch regarding "amazing feat that will never be matched", since it is based on a specific scenario (two football seasons in a calendar year) that we are unlikely to experience again. However, I'll give it to you, since the 22 wins is fact...the "amazing" is opinion. I do always appreciate level-headed posts that are not way too outlandish, so that is to say that I appreciate your posting style and input on this forum.
