Is a sell out at KBS 16,500? How many are they over selling it for?
If it is just actual seats then GSU will sell 18,000+ on Saturday against West Georgia.

We've sold 26K before and it not be a sellout. Plus they'll still having the student tickets that are free. So I imagine it'll be somewhere around 30K.

That's great news for App State. I've only been to KBS once but I cannot see 30,000 people there unless they bring in temp seating - where would that many people go? Plus there are no permanent bathrooms on the visitors side. That is going to be a crazy game!

We're still sitting at 16,000 with 3,000 left to sell, but Bison fans traditionally are a HEAVY walk-up crowd.
I don't think it'll sell out unless the student demand compensates for the non-student fans demand and they let in 1,000 or so more students over the student capacity of 3,800.
It'll be 18,000+ regardless.

I'm thinking a pretty good crowd for the Lehigh-Villanova game. The fact that Penn State-Notre Dame isn't until 6 should help out as well. I say atleast 12.5k-13k but i wouldn't be suprised if it was a bit bigger.

We had 10.5k on a Thursday, which normally brings down attendence. I'm not sure us playing a D2 school on a Saturday is going to help much. I predict that attendence will be slightly lower...my buddies think I'm wrong though.

Yeah, I thought you guys are able to jam thousands of people ass to ass on one of your grass berms on one end, if I recall...
You had over 26,000 for a game last year. I bet you'll approach 30K on Sat.
Your stadium in a way is the opposite of ours. Your place looks smallish in pictures, but you can cram 30K in that place. Our stadium is huge and looming, but we can only fit 19K in there.

that is exactly right and i actually just read on goasu.com that they have shut off sales to the general public which means you can only get tickets through students now... who can buy two on top of there free ticket... i would guess 30k is well within the realm of possibility but that is not all good bc there is no room once we get over about 24k and when i say no room i mean no room...
good point about your dome... the number of seats is it

and to think there was a push to add a second deck onto the Fargodome but those with the final vote couldn't see NDSU or Fargo ever needing something that big. xoopsx Now we are stuck at 19k until we move outdoors again or build another dome. Which basically means we'll be in the dome for a LONG time.

Every game was a sellout before the season began, if I remember correctly...And student tickets go on sale the monday before the game, (with the exception of this week) and usually sell out by the second or sometimes third day, unless it's a popular game. (Cat-Griz camp-out last year was awesome. Stayed up until 6:00 a.m. in the UC with an Art History exam two hours later just to get a ticket. xlolx )

I predict between 10,000 and 11,000 for Chattanooga's visit to Jax State this weekend. The loss at Alabama State will cool anticipation for the home opener. We had 12,862 for the same matchup game in '05. Capacity at Paul Snow is 15,000.

I don't know the anticipated numbers for the Chicago Classic (SU/MVSU) but I'm hoping it's more than the 9K that showed up the last time these teams met in Chicago. Valley's team is better than during that time so let's hope the attendence is good.

I think that they expect a sellout for Maine @ UConn in Hartford. I would not be surprised if there are close to 1,000 Maine fans at the game.....lots of alums down there, and probably lots of player parents and friends in attendance too. Then there's always the attraction of Mohegan Sun/Foxwoods casinos before the 7:00pm game, or making a weekend out of it. ;)

I hope UNC gets about 6-8,000. I only say that low number because CSU has Cal in Ft. Collins about the same time we start. A top 15 team doesn't come to the Fort too often and people around here might be tempted to go there.

25K in Memorial? That's a small crowd. Maybe the promoters need to do a big ticket giveaway to fill the house some more. Thhey could then use those numbers to get more/better TV coverage, thus more sponsorship, and more money.

The Viks say they're gonna draw 17k-18k, we'll see, there will be at least 2 Aggie fans there that's for sure. Thanks to Portland State for putting up a great crowd. Portland is the perfect FCS environment, if they only had a better stadium it would really draw more. The fans get pinned into 50% of the surrounding sideline, if only they could get a ring around that PGE Park! Maybe they could ask The Oregonian to move? xlolx xlolx xlolx

Here on the East Coast, Pennsylvania side, it looks like we're going to be blessed with outstanding 85 degree sunny weather. This will undoubtedly help this weekend's Lehigh/Villanova game, (dare I say) Lafayette/Georgetown, and Stony Brook/Bucknell games.
Lehigh/Villanova will be the biggest Patriot League draw in any case (guessing in the 10k range to be conservative), but I think from last year we should see better Patriot League attendances across the board from last year. xthumbsupx

It was also right after losing to Central Conn., which at the time seemed like a death-knell for the season, plus UMass was quite strong coming into that game. I think lots of people stayed away thinking we'd get hammered. Their loss xnodx
As for this weekend, I'd expect right around 5,000. No one really travels well up to Hamilton, except maybe Lehigh, plus it's not Homecoming/Family Weekend. On the other hand, we did finally win an opener, plus UMass is highly ranked. I guess we'll find out in about 11 hours xcoolx
