I couldn't stnd those old rules the way they cut down on the # of plays. The reason the games have gotten so much longer over the last several decades is the NCAA has allowed more and more commercials to interrupt/hold up play. The networks bitch that they can't fit the game in a 3 hr time slot, yet they are the prime reason why due to the commercials. Its their choice, either a 3.5 hr timeslot, or cut down on the commercials.
