DAYTON, Ohio – Peter Borger (Malvern, Pa.) became the first Spider individual Atlantic 10 Champion with a spectacular performance Saturday morning at the Atlantic 10 Championship race. Borger took first with an 8-kilometer time of 24:35.3 at the Elvin R. Kind Cross Country Course. This is the first individual championship for a Spider since Andrew Benford won the Atlantic 10 during the 2010 championship race. As a team, the Spiders finished fifth in the league with La Salle taking home the team title.
