2021 AGS Pick'em Challenge (Week 9)

We've reached the final trimester of the regular season. The battle for first finally took a turn with JacksFan40 atop the leaderboard. Prime Power had an impressive 6 weeks in a row donning the yellow jersey. The battle for dead last also took a dramatic shift. FCSbuff319 had held the bottom of the barrel for about as long as Prime Power, but a week 7 overall victory has him 6 points clear of last place Carolina010. I feel the last place spot has just as much honor as some of the top spots, because it shows resilience. So often when struggling, people take the coward's way out and bow out of the competition. Those fools in the bottom 15, who continue to pick every week, are the true heroes. (A quick re-scan shows I'm included in that group xlolx) And it's a season of "what could have been" for kdinva and kalm, who are 5th and 6th respectively just since week 5 started. Anyways, let's get to the picks:

I know I got 20. Probably got the most penalties question too. JSU had 11

I do not believe it. What we are witnessing in this pick'em challenge is an insane track of consistency. Paward, go to the nearest roulette table RIGHT NOW and bet the farm on 18. He has participated in 8 of the 9 weeks and totaled 18 in six of those weeks! This is madness.

Also, the bonus questions really hit a snag this time around. I always hope for top 3 to get more people a chance, but sometimes with a low number like turnovers, you risk getting a huge tie. That's what happened today with only two teams willing to get at least 4 turnovers. Then there were 10 with three TOs. Grr! Then to add to the fun, penalty obsessed Jacksonville State and FAMU both got double digit penalties, so a whole squadron of people earned bonus points. Several racked up both, in fact! Carib was one of those and he used that to tie for the lead with The Cats and TheValleyRaider. Prime Power did it as well and took back the overall lead as a result.
