This game was tied up at the end of the third period. 10 to 10.

CCSU apparently had a couple of drives stall deep within Towson territory and had to settle for a FG and a miss or two.
Over 200 rushing yds for the Devils, but Towson had 300+ through the air
Sounded like a very physical game, the Towson radio guys commented on several big hits

A tough game to watch as a CCSU fan, but a good effort.
CCSU play calling in first half was way too conservative. After taking the 7-3 lead in the midddle of 2Q, CCSU tried to stall the game and run the clock. Towson had a great 2:00 drill and scored to take the led into trhe half.
Second half we had better play calling and had a new QB. We ran the option down well, but stalled. Similary Towson threw at will against us, but were stopped a few times in the red zone. Also we did get 2 INTs!
Each team missed a FG. CCSU came up 1 yrd short on their last play of the game or the final would have been 20-17.
CCSU has a good team, but is still young and has little depth. If we also don't come up with a better offensive scheme, were in for a boring season. We can run on most teams, but still need a passing QB. Our defense is stout, but small.
Towson has a lot of weapons. They are a great offensive team, but IMO have a so-so defense. That QB is for real! A great arm and GREAT ACCURACY. However give the Towson WR corps a lot of credit. They have great size (everyone was 2-4 in taller than CCSU defensive backs) and dropped very few passes.

Who was running the ball for the Blue Devils now that Hairston is in the NFL? Was it a QB option combo with Norris and Holmes? JoJo Freeman?
