Craig Chambers is a projected starter for the Grizzlies at one of their wide receiver slots for the second straight season.

2006: He had an outstanding year and had a team-high eight touchdown catches. He missed the season opener at Iowa, but then started the next 13 games in row. He was third on the team in catches (41) and receiving yards (641), while his 15.6 yards per reception were the second highest. He was fifth on the team in all-purpose yards, averaging 49.8 a game.

He was an honorable mention All-Big Sky Conference selection. He was ranked fifth in the Big Sky in receiving yards, averaging 63.6 yards a game and 10th in scoring (touchdowns) at 3.7 points a contest.

2005 - Washington: He was the second-leading receiver for the University of Washington Huskies with 31 receptions for 573 yards and had a team-high six receiving touchdowns. His 36 points that year ranked him second (tie) on the team in scoring.

2004 - Washington: Chambers was second on the team in receiving (19 catches for 408 yards and two touchdowns) despite playing in only five games. He was tabbed Washington's “Most Outstanding Freshman” that season. He had career-highs of 8 catches for 189 yards versus Cal.

2003 - Washington: He was a redshirt at Washington.

High School: He caught 48 passes for 804 yards as a senior at Jackson High School. He was chosen by the Seattle Times as the “North Athlete of the Year” for preps in 2002.

Career-wise he had 93 catches for 1,972 yards and 18 touchdowns. He also earned three letters in basketball and four in track.

He was an all-state selection in football and track. He was a first team all-conference pick in basketball, football, and track, and team captain in all of those sports as well. His high school football coach was Joel Vincent.

Montana career highs: He had career-bests of six catches for 171 yards and two touchdowns at Northern Colorado last season. He had two scoring catches at UNC, and against McNeese State and Southern Illinois in UM's Football Championship Subdivision home playoff games in 2006. He had a six-yard run at Portland State.
