xeekx I saw this gem todayxreadx. While it is one persons opinion, it is a huge limb to go out on, especialy for a Montana newspaper. I am not saying I completely agree with it, but is nice to see at least one vote of confidence from outside of Oregon's borders.

Ok. I'll bite. First off, this guy is a known MSU fan.

Call it a hurricane in the Big Sky Conference, where the University of Montana will see its nine-year run of at least tying for the league title come to a halt. No, it won’t be Montana State University that puts the kibosh on the Grizzlies, it’ll be Jerry Glanville and his Portland State University Vikings that do the dirty deed. It’s a perfect role for Glanville, as the Man in Black plays spoiler so well.

I don't have a problem at all with him picking PSU, I say that's a fair prediction - just that is reasoning is because of Jerry Glanville's reputation and color of choice on gameday.

As good a reason as any, right up there with the sun, moon and stars being perfectly alligned.

There ya go. While I think PSU will be decent I'd like to hear why other than Glanville - unless he's taking snaps, running curl routes and anchoring the secondary as well.

If the UM/PSU game was in Portland this year, I'd give them a shot. xcoolx

But it's not. So I don't. xcoffeex

I can only make two season games this year due to the wife being ready to unleash baby #2 the end of September, but Portland State is one I will make.

Should be a fantastic game.

Man, you're completely clueless. I just have 1 name that'll shut you up. Perhaps the finest actor to ever. No, I'm not talking about Gary Cooper (also born in Helena), but about Dirk Benedict. Yes, Face from the A-Team. Starbuck from Battlestar Galactica. xbowx

Dirk Benedict...so prolific they named a coffee after his character...

I was named after Gary Cooper (My Pride of the Yankees poster still hangs in my study even though I grew up a Mets fan) so Helena has done something for the world...

And what would the wonderful NAIA be without Carroll College kicking everybody's butt?

I guess I have a hard time believing he is an MSU fan after reading this gem.

Looks like another one has been drinking the Glanville kool-aid.xbangx

Considering the fact that his other predictions are so 'out there', why would we take the PSU prediction seriously? Randy Moss being the key to an undefeated season? I think the opposite has been true on the other teams he's been a part of. Carroll losing to MSU-N after MSU-N loses its QB? I doubt it. Havre, MT just doesn't have the draw to get consistent teams year after year. (sorry for those of you who don't follow NAIA).

I'd say the same. It seems when we do have a chance to contend for the title, its always in a year that we have to go to Missoula. But one of these years we will win. This year? We will need a lot of help I say.
