DULUTH, Ga. -- The Richmond Spiders men's golf team shot rounds of 287 (-1) and 293 (+5) in Rounds 1 and 2 of the Georgia State Invitational Monday at Berkeley Hills Country Club and are tied for seventh place with 18 holes remaining. Richmond enters Tuesday's final round at 580 (+4), tied with Samford for seventh in the 15-team field. The Spiders are four shots behind three teams tied for fourth at 576 (E) and 10 shots behind first-place Lafayette (570, -6) as the top 10 teams are separated by just 11 shots.
