I'm sitting at 37-12 for the year so far and still in search of a perfect week. This week seems to be a good opportunity for a perfect week as the good teams in the conference seem to be playing the bad teams. But if past years are any indication, that means there will be some upsets and throw a big wrench into everything. Here are my predictions for this week. All are my opinion only.

CP at MSU---Interesting game here. The Mustangs started out of the gate well but lately it seems they haven't been able to stop anyone. Compare that to the Bobcats who seem to be probably the most consistent team in the conference so far on both sides of the ball...MSU 45, CP 10.

EWU at UNC---Coming off a big, emotional win on national TV, the Eagles soar into the Bear's den. If the Eagles fall prey to the dreaded Griz hangover and the Bears continue their good play at home, this could be a big upset in the conference. Could be, but don't bite...EWU 24, UNC 17.

Dixie State at UM---A sidenote here as Dixie State continues their murderous FCS schedule, heading into the Grizzlies lair this week. It may be a tall task facing a Grizzly team that is licking their wounds after a tough loss on national TV. Well, someone has to do it...UM 42, Dixie State 7.

PSU at UI---The Vikings broke through last week and got a good conference road win over Southern Utah. The Vandals played one of the heavy hitters in the conference on the road ready for the win, but couldn't get it done. Good thing the Vikings are not the Aggies...UI 26, PSU 13.

SUU at SAC---The Thunderbirds gave it their all last week but could not break through and get the win. They now head out to play the Hornets who had last week to rest and regroup. Not likely for an upset here. Hornets improve on their good start...SAC 35, SUU 17.

UCD at ISU---The Aggies had to dive into their bag of tricks last week to grind out a had-fought victory and keep their perfect season perfect. The Bengals did all that for one quarter, then went to sleep. They return to their big home field for a chance at an upset?...UCD 28, ISU 24.

NAU and WSU both are off this weekend.

Suutah 21-31 Sac State — Will Sac finally decide if they're good or not?

Portland St. 21-27 Idalol — The Vandals likely need a win here to avoid a 1-6 start

Davis 34-17 Idalol St. — So… why did ISU give Phenicie a contract extension?

Dixie 3-38 Montana — Winless Dixie gets General Shermaned again

Cal Poly 10-48 Montana St. — This is week 5 out of 6 for Cal Poly's murder gauntlet

EWU 42-17 NoCo — Classic physics question: if a coach throws a clipboard into the stands at Nottingham Field, will it hit anyone? xchinscratchx

CP 13 at MSU 42--- MSU has played consistently and has been able to play 2's and 3's in the 4th quarter in several games. This games looks like the same could happen, but without flying clipboards.

EWU 45 at UNC 20--- UNC at home should score some points, but EWU's offense will score more. If a clipboard flies and no one is there to see it, does it make any noise?

Dixie State 0 at UM 38---A tune up game for the Griz at the midpoint of the season.

PSU 20 at UI 23--- This has the making of a good game. Two equally matched teams going at it in Idaho. Home field advantage takes the edge

SUU 17 at SAC 32---Sac is at home for this one. SUU has been struggling.

UCD 35 at ISU 23---You-See-Davis should get a win here, but it is a road game and once in while a team has been known to play a good game in the middle of a crappy season.

Good race so far in the league. This week:

Montana State looks really good. Beats Cal Poly this week
EWU will beat UNC handily. I'm thinking 3TD minimum.
Montana continues the initiation Dixie State to D1 with a Griz win.
Idaho gets a win over PSU
SAC State beats Southeren Utah
UCD will be Idaho State

Winn(less)-Dixie 7 @ Montana 38 - Shelves are still waiting to be stocked with a win after a trip to Wa-Griz.
EWU 49 @ UNC 14 - Let's be honest. The only reason to watch this game is to see how small those pants are. Inquiring minds want to know.
UC-Davis 35 @ ISU-o 17 - Making this pick assuming Rodrigues starts. If not, Davis by 10.
Cal Poly 14 @ Montana State 27 - Hopefully all these cupcakes to start the year doesn't fattened up the Bobcats prior to the difficult stretch of their schedule.
PSU 17 @ Idaho 21 - GOTW in the Big Sky?? At least in terms of competitiveness, probably.
SUU 20 @ Sac State 31 - SUU continues to get a boot in the ass on the way out. Don't let the door hit ya where the good Lawd split ya.

ESPN can air the game, while ESPN2 can air the "Pants Cam." xthumbsupx

5-1 this week. Felt like there was going to be an upset somewhere but didn't know where. 42-13 for the year.
