Yeah, I should have known the all time FCS leader in field goals would miss two field goals, a 27 yarder and a 34 yarder, during the last 7 minutes of JMU's biggest game of the season. Or that Rocco and Gattuso would choose this weekend to audition for a Middle School coaching job, where that the most important thing is that EVERYONE who wants to play QB gets to play QB.

I guess I'll try a new coin to flip next time, or better yet, I'll start playing the PL or Ivy pick'ems instead of the CAA.

Apparently coaches decision. Underkuffler had been underwhelming and the Danes had given up 19 sacks in 4 games with his lack of mobility getting some of the blame. Carino played very well but Tribe D shut down the run in 2nd half.

Well……since they have yet to score a TD & have only 3 FGs it’s a pretty good bet as is the under. Really sad to see how this proud program has fallen to oblivion.

Getting your #1 QB injured is one thing (Rocco), but choosing to not play a guy who led you from the CAA basement to a 2nd place conference finish and your only playoff appearance in eight years as head coach is ridiculous (Gattuso) - if Undercuffler was not injured this should be the final straw that sends G.G packing. No problem with starting Joey Carino and I understand sticking with him through the 1st half as W&M didn't seem to be able to do anything right. However, as soon as things started going south in the 2nd half, any idiot should have had the sense to put in Undercuffler.

The only thing I couldn't understand from Rocco was why he was playing his Wildcat QB late in the 4th Qtr down by a TD with the clock winding down.

the wild cat QB had 12 carries in the game, when Henderson was healthy would only have a few and almost exclusively inside the 10.... he was effective with that. 12 carries is totally ridiculous

A major wrench was thrown into the Colonial race this past weekend with Villanova defeating James Madison. Rhode Island just keeps chugging along, and has a winnable game against UMass coming up.

Delaware QB Nolan Henderson didn't play at all vs. URI. Zach Gwynn played the most snaps and was 9 for 17, 117 yards and 3 interceptions. He was the #2 QB Spring 2021, but played sparingly throwing for only 59 yards. The DE Wildcat QB Anthony Paoletti played maybe 1/3 of the game throwing one incomplete pass and netted 39 yards rushing. How crazy would it be for Rhode Island to go undefeated and win the conference. Looking at the schedule they only have 2 teams left on the schedule with current winning records (Villanova and New Hampshire) and one team that's sitting at .500 in Elon.

Nova should handle Rhode Island but sure, upsets happen. I don’t see Rhode being able to score enough points though

The fans patience is running very thin with Rocco, Hopefully the AD is losing hers too. Spring fling is long over and Delaware Doesn’t look like a good football team right now.

Well, I guess you've been wrong about both teams. Stony Brook has got good players, on both sides of the ball. I don't know why they lose so much - probably poor game preparation and a very predictable, pedestrian offensive scheme.
Danny Rocco is stuck on a few conventions as well. He doesn't seem to know what to do without Nolan Henderson at QB. He's always liked the two QB offense - one primary passer and one primary runner, but it ain't working for him now. If he wants to see how that could work, tell him to watch Dartmouth's offense in yesterday's Dartmouth @ UNH game.

Since you like study all my past posts and polls so intensely, if you go back to last Spring, I think you'll see I was about the 1st guy on the Delaware bandwagon. Great to see you're a Dartmouth supporter! I've always had a lot of affinity for them as well, my Uncle played for them many, many moons ago.

Everything is not as simple as: Stony Brook is "bad"; The CAA "stinks". There are thousands of variables that go into every game and every season. The only thing that is certain is that every week there will always be the same number of Ws and Ls It's never fully possible to know what's going to happen, but that's what makes college football interesting. I'd guess that's why some very wise people called this site Any Given Saturday. Apparently I'm far less interested in keeping tabs on where I stand in AGS Pick'em games than you may be. I do it for fun. If I really thought I could pick sports winners with reliable accuracy, I'd be doing it for money, not on a message board.
