LORMAN, Miss. - Tuesday, Alcorn State announced a 'Purple Out' for the school's football homecoming game.University officials made the announcement ahead of the annual homecoming game. This year the Braves face Grambling State at 2:00 p.m on Saturday, October 9 for the yearly classic.After having restrictions throughout 2020, the Braves are now allowing full-capacity crowds at Spinks-Casem Stadium. All fans that attend the homecoming game are encouraged to wear purple shirts in hopes of producing a 'sea of purple' in the stands. "Once you see it in person for the first time, you can really appreciate it," associate athletic director/senior women's administrator Temeka Samuels said. "It looks phenomenal on TV and in the stands. The 'Purple Out' will light up the stadium and enhance the homecoming experience as it is beautifully executed."The game will be televised on the ESPN Family of Networks. General admission, general parking, and general tailgating can still be purchased at this time. All other parking and admission is sold out.
