You could tell there was an absolutely jumble of teams in the bottom of ballots this week. Rhode Island, with 149 points, wouldn't have cracked the top 25 in any AGS poll so far this season before this one and they got all the way up to #21.

There hasn't been more than 4 points separating those two teams since the preseason poll and last week there was one point separating them. So 3 voters out of 50+ voters swapping them would account for the difference. Also, there were 2 less voters this week from last week so if those two voters both had Sam Houston at #1 and SDSU at #2 and everyone else voted the same that would've flipped them as well.

One very minor issue I had was seeing UNI leapfrog Villanova when UNI was on bye and Nova played FBS #6 (now #4) Penn St pretty well last Saturday. Prior to these last couple weeks I thought Nova might've been a tad overrated in the consensus but I think they've proven so far they belong in the top 15.

I might be giving them too much credit but they kept it to 17-3 at the half and held Penn State's ground game down the whole game. They got gashed by some explosive plays through the air that took away any shot they had. Still it just seemed odd to me that UNI would jump them on bye after a, let's call it respectable, performance by Nova against Penn St.

Could just be people recalibrating their ballots early in the season to make up for a perceived mistake the previous week. I've done that before as well.

I'm one of the voters that may have caused Jacks to move ahead of Bearkats. Starting to look more at what has been accomplished in the 4 week of this fall vs what was end of last season. SHSU was well challenged by UCA. UCA is a good team, but they also lost to a team who is likely a middling MVFC team. Whereas SDSU absolutely pasted ISU-B, as well as a FBS team. Two other teams, UC DAVIS, & ETSU also looking top tier.

xlolx I had to look up that we even played you, so no... not at all upset that KSU beat the 5-6 Bobcats in Choate's 2nd year of rebuilding from Rob Ash's "All Offense, No Defense" basketball teams. Unlike you, I do not live vicariously thru my sports teams and even if I did, that game still wouldn't make my top 100 games that upset me. It took me about a week to get over the #1 ranked UND hockey losing to Minnesota-Duluth last spring in a 5 OT regional final (longest game in NCAA hockey tournament history) on a soft goal, and that was a crushing loss. I was over the KSU loss before the final whistle.
